It’s from The Office where Michael is taking about his leadership, and he’s asking whether he would prefer people to fear him or love him. His response is

“Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.”

I know it was meant as a joke but I love it. I don’t know what this says about me but I think of it all the time, killing people with kindness leaves you on steady ground, and when someone wants to see you do poorly or hates you without reason, they always know it.
