I am not talking at home economics where they focus on child rearing and cooking. We are way beyond that and now find ourselves in a place where young adults don’t understand basic adulting functions. So how about, offer a summer course (To take when schools are out) where people are taken through a curriculum that explains

Financials: Managing their taxes, how to purchase a vehicle, personal finances, introduces them to investing, how to save money, learn about interest rates and credit cards, etc.

Living Alone: What to look for in rental properties, how to save for deposits, their tenant rights, average cost of living, cost of utilities, creating a budget

Vehicle Ownership: Reviewing maintenance that comes with vehicle ownership, cost of licensing and registration in their state, insurance premiums discussions, safe driving discussions.

Food: How to shop for 1, how to save money on groceries, learn recipes and basic cooking skills, how to eat healthy on a budget, where to seek assistance for food.

Education: Go over the cost of university versus community college, trade schools, in demand skills, online certifications, average income, unemployment rates, side hustles and entrepreneurships.

Health: How to obtain and pay for healthcare, how to obtain free/low cost gym memberships, healthy lifestyle living, basic at home remedies and illness prevention. Safe sex practices

Offer specialists to help every student when they need someone to help them make the best financial decision when buying a vehicle, looking for an apartment, selecting insurance, etc.

This is something I know parents would get for their kids and adults who were never taught these things would love to have explained to them.

In an ideal world, something like this would be government funded, but since it is not, there is a demand that needs to be fulfilled.
